I signed up early to get one of these Bollinger Motors vehicles. Really like the body styling and maybe not good for all trips but seems like a cool vehicle. They have not announced pricing yet.
I imagine we will have portable battery kits that will replace our Jerry cans & someone could bring it to you if you're stranded & don't have one...
Very cool concept, depends on starting price
Bollinger has not released the official pricing for the B1, but expects the MSRP to list around $60,000 for the 60 kWh model. Opting for the 100 kWh model will cost another $8,000 or so, putting it closer to a $70,000 price tag.

You make some great points. The no place to plug in can be a problem. As someone who lived in Medford Oregon traversing those fire roads, I understand the ability to be self sufficient. Left stranded without an extra gas can, or electric 'can' does seem risky.... Yep, I like Bollinger too. I hope they are successful. If I was sold on the all electric technology I would be all about this one. It checks the basic no frills added look that appeals to me. My reservations aren't about this vehicle, just the thought of needing a charge in any electric vehicle when there is no where to plug in. Living in Oregon, we have a lot of wilderness still to explore. The more I think about it - I imagine we will have portable battery kits that will replace our Jerry cans & someone could bring it to you if you're stranded & don't have one... Since there is no stopping progress - I like the Bollinger!
Personally, don't care for the styling as much. But maybe it will improve or maybe Tesla or Amazon will seed Bollinger with more funding and we will actually see production. If nothing else it is fun to see some new vehicles that are not the big players.
I was shocked by this price announcement. It's more than double what they had initially estimated. The Rivian is looking better to me, though they still haven't announce the actual price.
