So, my OEM matts are done, heel has worn a hole through the Driver's side matt, and they are dry and cracking apart along the edges as well. Passenger side matt is not as bad, but is cracking and has pieces breaking off of it as well.

Was wondering what everyone's experience has been with replacement options..

RN has Proline matts that look like reproductions of the original without the LR logo..

As well as some other options:

Anything else out there that anyone recommends?

Old school link mats. Won't really help with insulating from heat and noise tho. And not on the glamour side of the scale.
Problem with solid mats is that they collect moisture. Worst when mats aren't removed regularly.

I saw that, but the OE seat box and tunnel cover/insulation is in good shape, and I have no reason to want to remove them at this time..

There is also this 'one piece' matt from Land rover, but I don't think it would work without removing the existing tunnel cover, and seems like it would be difficult to remove (don't like to leave the matts in after washing etc as they trap too much moistur)..

Link Mats? Something like these? Would like something a little more finished looking, but I hear you about the Mats trapping moisture, I generally take them out whenever I have washed the truck or gotten caught out in the rain..

I have this on my 110 CSW and I drive all year all seasons, off road all the rime. So lotsa snow, water and mud. I also have rubber mats on top of the rubber mats. Its a great compromise and way less expensive than the Wright off road sound deadening mat system.

If your Defender is well sealed its a good way to go. I have stainless sill plates holding edges down so its not easy to lift iand check for water, but I do it regularly and there is none.

Good luck

I can't even carefully wash the truck without getting water on the floors, much less drive it in the rain. If that wasn't an issue, this does seem like a nice option..

Link mats are the way to go. Any solid rubber mats are going to be garbage and hold water with those open cell foam sheets under them.
Pangolin 4x4 sells link mats for series trucks. Don't know if he ever had any made for anything newer.
Last I knew Pegasus in the UK has been making them for years for the series and newer trucks.
Could always buy a link door mat, cut and bend and Bobs your uncle. Which is what my father did and doesnt look too bad.
