It's going to be a fun project. Still trying to decide on built 4.6 and keeping it Rover, or going the LS or 2.8 diesel route.

Keeping it NAS would be a great ROI option for a 1 of 500 vehicle.

Yeah but at some point you have to count the Puma bulkhead dash as non-original and definitely not NAS although still Rover. So how far can you go before it isn't "as original" or becomes not acceptable to purists and collectors?

Don't mean to start a debate on your thread. Just curious.

Interesting point and conversation. So on my 90 rebuild, if I could replace any plastic piece with metal, I did it. In my mind, if there is an upgrade that improves the original while still keeping it looking rover, I'm probably going to do it. What does everybody think about driving enjoyment vs keeping something original? If it was going to sit in the garage and not be driven then I could understand the collector idea and keeping it original.

Since you're in Colorado and as long as you plan on driving and using it as you see fit no reason to not build it as you like. The only thing with the diesel in Colorado requires a test is passed and depending on your location that could be easy (outside Denver area) or hard (Boulder or Denver). Please keep us posted as I will be following your build.
