Freight might suck, but for a rebuilt unit, this is cheap.

It is an O'reilly or Advance type shop in the UK. A fair bit of Brits seem happy with it on forums.

I have no experience with this recon brand, but if you buy one and use it let us know how it works out.

We buy new Magneti Marelli alternators in Europe for the 300TDI and sell them here with a 1 year warranty, but without shipping the price is like $259.
Which is a lot more expensive that this unit you found.

A good price on a new alternator is one thing but for a used/rebuilt alternator/starter, etc it should be viewed as a throwaway item. Shipping here and for a return would probably exceed the cost of the part itself. Don't get me wrong, I order stuff from the U.K. all the time but never used or rebuilt and would only buy engine accessories, internal engine/transmission parts from RN, DNW, AB, Robert Davis, etc.
