Very Nice, I like the stance. I‘ve just started an LS swap into my Discovery 2. May I ask how much lift this rig has? I’m thinking I need 3-4” to run 33s.
The tire carrier stays connected to the door and swings out parallel with it. The rubber bumper snugs up to the door when closed, so it’s pretty solid. Doesn’t rattle. Uses existing holes, so no drilling.
I’m running 285/75-16 tire
I installed these OME standard height coils and Nitrocharger shocks on my D90 300tdi. OME states roughly 1.5” lift for most D90s. I ran them for a month and removed. Just a bit too tall for my garage door opening.
$1052 new, I’ll sell for $700 shipped within the US
It’s solid underneath. Typical 25 year old vehicle that could use some TLC but I was expecting that. I’ve currently got it on jackstands and pressure washing undercarriage. That spain dirt is caked on in places. I had a split fuel spill line, but that was an easy fix.
Got the DMV work done today...
I recently purchased a D90 from Courage Automotive. I have to admit I was a bit concerned about purchasing outside the US, but my experience was smooth. Vehicle condition was well represented. Shipping and US Customs requires a bit of patience but all went well.
Yep, it’s a 97 Defender 90. Luckily the seller is awesome and helped with the extra cost. I’m extremely irritated with this treatment at Hueneme and hope this isn’t the new norm
Well, it looks like I’m being hit with 25% too. My Customs Broker had me write a letter explaining that it’ll be personal use.
Customs responded and stated that usage doesn’t matter. They say it was built as a truck and it gets the truck rate of 25%.
There’s an extra $6800 I didn’t expect
