Why is it assumed that a manual transmission is a good anti theft device? The personal vehicles of most car thieves here are manual. The only reason I can think of as to why automatics are the most stolen is because their numbers are greater percentage wise versus number of vehicles with manual.

Heck! Just changing the battery can wreak havoc with the BECM. I never knew there were procedures for that. LOL That being said. I'm not that afraid of driving it cross country. After all, I bought it in NYC and drove it down to Texas with 145K already on the clock.

Looked at that app on the iPhone App store and it has mixed reviews. I hope it works for us.
