So a little follow up - Six months of occasional weekend driving (with some mountain rut roads in there) & the middle exhaust mount hanger weld broke. The hanger is a stainless circle strap with the seam welded that goes around the isolation material & a mount plate welded onto the sleeve in a...
Wasn't sure if I should put this in the Unboxing Swag Thread or bump Trekworks. In my experience great custom products aren't always available when you want them.
Couple of my favorite upgrades for my 110 are the Psyoptic Development Sliders by madcowdungbeetle (the most unforgettable name...
Is there a secret I'm missing in regards to tightening the banjo bolts without over tightening them, so they don't come loose & start leaking again? Had another (different) one come loose today. Seems like it happens after driving on bumpy off road terrain. Reveals itself with the smell of...
Thank you WreckITFrank! You answered my Christmas wish with something to remove rounded or broken bolts, but what I'm really excited about is the surprise Figgy Pudding Spam & gourmet pretzels (I'm a novelty junkie with a sweet tooth). The Landy newsprint to protect the goods was a nice touch too.
The exhaust made an occasional metallic "knocking" noise, usually at an idle in neutral & at the beginning of changing gears. Initially I thought it was the metal hangers against the exhaust stand off supports. I traced it to the new downpipe barely hitting a bolt at the chassis next to the...
That's what I was afraid of. I measured a couple of my other coats that I like the fit from the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve to get the 26-27". I'm going to have to pass on this one.
Yes. Those are the parts. CXRacing only sends three (3) V-band clamps for the four (4) flange connections, so I had to pick up another. You may want to mention that in the notes when you order because they may not know the set is short a clamp (even the pics show only three).
The only other...
The pics make the sleeves look short. Will you measure the length of the sleeve from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff?
I'm 6'3" & can scratch my knees without bending over...
Kidding! My arms aren't THAT long. Seriously, I'm interested if the sleeves are around 27".
It was late when I finished.
Smoke/Rumble test has to wait until this weekend, so I don't fill the garage with fumes - Even though I'm really anxious to see & hear the difference!
Add some Copper Spray-A-Gasket & fit them to clear the pipes. Far better solution than altering the factory brackets - Thanks for the suggestion erover82!
I had these turbo to down pipe spacers made up, but they were made with the original gasket as a guide & the fit wasn't great to the new exhaust flange, so I had a second round made up based on the new exhaust flange gasket.
