Everybody in Argentina uses some sort of low coolant alarm on 300TDi's. Laziest idea ever, IMHO. Just check the reservoir now and then, will ya? Been using the TDi daily for 8 years now. Never needed an alarm.
And I get him! My revelation came when I remembered the time about 10 years ago when I got an auto Rangie. I would always stab the brake pedal to "downshift" :D:D:D Things flew around! One daughter learned the hard way to always buckle up! I had to sell the darn thing.

I don't know what happened to me yesterday. Today I am my former self, and am suitably ashamed of even thinking about giving up my clutch pedal. I hope it does not happen again!

Had a week-old universal joint explode under me. Crawled down, disconnected the propshaft, locked up... and nothing. The ultra-long, ill fitting, week-old diff-lock sender had creeped out of adjustment again. So down I went again, unscrewed the darn thing off... and finally, drove off in 2WD...
