I agree. If it is coolant, I would image it would be more then the engine is hot? I am going to pressure wash again (third time) and try and get that side clean. I can see some stains on the exhaust pipe so perhaps some is evaporating when the exhaust is hot.
I know that chasing fluid leaks on an old Defender can be a fools errand but it's worth a shot.
This is a right-hand drive 300 tdi 1996 Defender 90.
I replaced the intercooler about two years back and put in new coolant. I checked recently and the coolant was low... bit of a puddle on the Turbo...
