Not enough info. What tires are you running? How many miles on the engine? Any transfercase swaps by PO? You should be able to run 70 with room to spare.
I'd seriously consider using load relays to take the high current off of the new switch. You'll add years to that switch and get brighter headlights to boot.
The NV4500 gearing is most important. I ran an earlier one with the wide jump between 3 and 4 behind a 4.3 V6 in my old IIA. Rpms were either too high or too low around 35 mph as I recall. It was aggravating. I never modified the box to make those ratio changes more uniform. I sold it after I...
Robert in Dallas. Stop acting like an ass. If you've got something worthy of posting do it in another thread. While your over there please tell us of all the out-of-the-box conversions you've accomplished and your long history/ownership of Land Rovers. Enquiring minds want to know.
I've driven the 2.5 and 3.0 4 banger conversions (hell, I had a lot of input into those conversions). I've converted a series to 4.3 V6. I've probably got the first LS1 conversion project still sitting in my garage to finish. I've been impressed with each and each has it's place. I driven the...

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for someone looking to own a piece of history or use to complete an ongoing project. Some of you understand the magnitude of this...the vehicles... the parts.
These Tonka toys weren't built for the roadways. I've always had issues with traffic lights and I'm only 5'10". I even bought one of the plastic prism thingys used in choptop roadsters that allows you to 'see' the light refraction. I swear, LR built these trucks like space was an absolute...
While the 5th gear set is not as stout as the lower gears it is a mute point. The R2.2 will not produce the torque required to drive the vehicle at full load at 75mph up a good grade. EGT, if nothing else, will hinder the progression. The driver will inevitably have to downshift and move to the...
