I have this on my 110 CSW and I drive all year all seasons, off road all the rime. So lotsa snow, water and mud. I also have rubber mats on top of the rubber mats. Its a great compromise and way less expensive than the Wright off road sound deadening mat system.
If your Defender is well...
Suggest you just get the electrical speed transducer and use the digital VDO Vision Series 👌🏻. (No nasty cable to break and get messed up, plus you can adjust to exact GPS speed). 🤷♂️
good luck...
Picked those up at Rovers North years ago when I bought the 110. Not sure of they still carry them. What I really liked is that they were galvie and powder coated and the top plate is aluminum. 👌🏻 I also added “Bully” aluminum side steps which I remove if I off road.
Cheers
Everything away when travelling. Everything is stowed away inside like a big trunk.
What is inside, well some of the stuff. (couple campaign chairs, porta potty and other things are still inside)
Set up as looks these days…
Yup they are 👌🏻. Good piece of kit, but it takes two people to install them. I have a bad habit of getting things and they sit on the shelf until I remember that actually I have them and then install the stuff months later. 🤦🏼♂️
RTT on a small trailer is the way to go. You have a base camp or you can do trails with or without it. No tearing down your camp to drive trails with a trailer. I removed my RTT from my truck and built a trailer. Anyways that is what I learned.
Good luck
