Default Light bar gutter mount

I've seen some light bar mounts for defenders that drill into the gutter, I found this for westy vans that seems clamp and thus no drilling.
Is there any reason this wouldn't work? All gutters are pretty much the same, right?

No reason for a clamp on not to work. Thule roof bars work that way and carry far higher loads.
