200tdi electrical issue

I recently acquired a 200tdi Defender 90 which I love. However, it came with a few issues. Most of them have been sorted, except for this one that has me stumped. I am not a wiring expert by any stretch of the imagination, so this one is beyond my scope of work.

When the car is running and you release the parking brake the temp gauge goes up. Additionally, I was doing some further testing today with the ignition on, and when I released the parking brake the fan slowed down, and when I turned on a turn signal the fan pulsates to the beat of the turn signal.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

And no, I do not have a switch for the dash light installed on my parking brake . That was the first place I looked.

You have a serious ground issue. Check the main battery ground, check the engine to chassis ground, check the main loom ground on the firewall.

I found the ground gremlin! Thanks Red90 for pointing me in the right direction. The ground wire from the engine to the chassis was MIA.
