I don't think that pic is supposed to have been posted till Dec. 27th, at least according to the sub-title. And it's odd that I can find it on their web site via my computer, but I cannot see it on the same web site via my phone. Nor can I do any kind of image search for it through my phone.

LR is totally messed up right now. They misplaced the Defender, and they think this updated LR4 is fooling everyone. Or maybe they don't even know what they have under that camo.

Yep, with the date on the pic as the 27th. No confirmation that it is the Defender, and I can go to that web site on my phone and see all the image packages, but not that one.

Also, when you download the image, it is all pixelated as if it was screen captured from someone's desktop.

So are they going to unveil this Jan 1st? This is the worst release of a new vehicle I’ve ever seen in my 34 years being alive. Granted there could have been something bad in the 80s but the build up to the DC100 and the obviously hack of an attempt to maintain heritage is only becoming worse and worse with each new unveil.

Nothing about this makes any sense. It really just serves to perpetuate my theory that the Defender is causing lots of internal strife at LR. I can’t figure out why they show the new vehicle while it is still camouflaged. Why is it getting on a random car carrier? Why was the release of this image so awkward? Compare it to any other model they are pushing, and nothing seems left to chance. Even their heritage advertising over the past year, the production they’ve put into advertising vehicles from 50 years ago, is far and away better than anything they are doing with the new Defender.

None of it makes any sense. But is pretty standard. They?ve been milking the Defender for everything it?s worth. Why not get you excited only to ruin your expectations? This thing is the car version of a la croix.

Every time I see this new thing, I can't get over how awesome it would be if this was the new Discovery. Still waiting for a Defender.

I think it's going to be shock us and be cool. They purposely made it look like LR4 (boxy) for camo to mess with us. Its going to have Defender like front fenders, alpine windows, rear door etc

I hope:

I mean... I suppose I'm not going to be buying one either way, unless my wife happens to like it for her next car.
