LR3 - When it is time for new shocks??

So my LR3 when off road or on road when I hit a large bump, gives me a very nice thump noise from the front end. Looking into it, looks like the air spring is around the shock, so that could be it. But smaller bumps or at higher speeds, no noise.

To start off, LCAs, TREs, bearings, and brakes have all been done. Also no adverse shaking from the front end. I do have a touch of vibration at some speeds, but it is what it is.

So when does one know when its time to put shocks on their LR3?

Thanks.

I’m at about 130k now and considering the bilstein. Plan to keep the air struts. I love the air suspension. It seems like after the 80k I’ve had it, the dampening isn’t the same.

Good point on the seat bar bushings. I'll look into that.

Also yes, the shocks probably need to be replaced anyway. Because 123k.
