WTB: D1 in good condition

My brother's old van blew up and he is looking to get into the LR sickness, like his older brother. Putting a feeler out for a well-sorted D1. He is located in Jacksonville FL, but I could drive it down to him. I'm in Norfolk, VA. Would much rather he buy from a LR guy rather than a Craiglist ad. Budget is under $7K. Doesn't need to be perfect, but he isn't mechanically inclined, so I'd like to to be solid as can be. I owned a D1 when I was stationed in Bahrain, so I have some familiarity with them, but not a ton. A/C would need to be in working condition, or at least fixed inexpensively. Thanks a lot.

D1’s are great but they, at 20+ years old, need a good helping of care and maintenance. My teenage son bought one 3 years ago and it has been a great experience but it does take some mechanical will.

Check out the Jacksonville CL. There is a guy there that has had some nice D1’s for sale from time to time.
