I removed my 300tdi radiator today as part of a timing belt refresh. I noticed corrosion on approx. 75% of the rear fins - in fact a number flaked off with very little provocation. The rods appear ok with no leaks, but I think after 10 winters it may be time for a new rad. Clear rust along the bottom tank area. Am I getting shipfitters disease?
Any thoughts on the current available radiators? Allisport is out of my price range at the moment, and I don?t really have time to wait for a recore. Is there a US rad available? I recall Pendy used to offer a higher capacity unit, but I haven?t heard them mentioned for some time. Bearmach offers all/plastic or brass? Are oil cooler lines universal thread/fastener?
