I really hate to do this but I had to move the post ("Ebates Deals") about the affiliate links off the board. This kind of stuff is bad and inappropriate for N-R for several reasons:
1. It hurts our site's reputation with search and makes us look shady.
2. It's one member making money off of other members without delivering a service or good, but using N-R's hosting to facilitate this. We run no advertising here and we don't take donations and this stuff abuses the non-commercial aspect of our site. Other ad-heavy Defender forums rewrite the affiliate IDs in these links to capture the commissions but we don't do that shady shit. It's better for N-R to just prohibit them entirely.
You can still link to good deals on the 'net here, provided that you aren't collecting a commission and of course, you can always sell stuff directly in the classifieds.
