I recently broke the bolt holding one of the tensioners for the Cam belt. I have a service manual which generally address the replacement of this belt as a routine service item. not as oops I broke my belt. A few questions about order of operations
Here is where I sit
1. Belt is gone and old sheered bolt is removed
2. Pump pulley is aligned and locked in place with pin
3 middle pulley is aligned with hash mark.
4 Cam is still sitting in random position awaiting the tool to lock this into the TDC position.
5 Rocker removed and push rods inspected. 1 slightly bent. .. replaced all of them
6 Polished and oiled Rocker assembly
Do I need to rotate the cam into TDC before re installing the rocker assembly and adjusting valves?
Any pointers or comments on what has been done so far?
Thanks for your help and any ridicule you may have for me LOL
