NASROW we need your help!
I am part of a small non-profit (Global Exploration and Recovery - GEaR). We are all Land Rover owners (mostly Defenders with a Disco 1 and a RRC). We are trying to locate and repatriate three WWII heroes who died on a rescue mission over Greenland 75 years ago. I live and work in Anchorage, and will be departing on this expedition on July 5th,
The men we are looking for include the LAST TWO US Coast Guard Servicemen unaccounted for, from any conflict. Our two Coast Guard heroes died while on a rescue mission, attempting to save the crew of a downed B-17 (which also crashed on a rescue mission).
Our small team of passionate individuals volunteer their time, money, and skills to come together overseas to deliver on the promise we make to our Service Members - that we will not leave them behind. It's a promise we are working hard to keep, and we maintain contact with all of the next of kin - including the pilot's sister. Nancy is 94 and continues to hope that her brother will be located and returned to his native soil.
