We've had this truck in our booth at a few shows the last couple years, so I'm just going to leave this here...

If thats the truck I think it is, I imported that truck from Netherlands for an enthusiast in NC. When I was driving it around Annapolis it only had like 9k miles on it.

If the same truck, it was a scout truck for the Himilaya event that didnt happen/ due to events @ Tiananmen Square. Truck was sent and route scouting was done. Truck even suffered a flop.

Not sure it's the same one. I think 3 or 4 of the 5 Himalaya scout vehicles are accounted for, the one you are thinking of, it had a dutch flag and two names printed on the front LH fender?

The vehicle that did roll into the riverbed is one of the missing ones.

Yep. Here are pictures I have of that truck. It was owned by a Dr in the bay area 7 yrs ago and he converted it to 200 tdi..

What does the plaque/sticker at the top/middle of the firewall say? (above the motor, to the LH side of the small roof lights fuse box)

Could not see a good shot of it.

Thanks

Sorry we are all out of the shop (in AZ this weekend) for the AZLRO Rally - can check when we get back to the rain and snow next week...

New ignition switch and aux fuel tank scheduled to install on 2/3. Local Rover club will be in the shop for a tech session on that day if anyone wants to view the truck in person.

SOLD - picked up and being driven 2000 miles home this weekend. Congratulations to the new owner. Sounds like he has plans to use the truck exploring.

Have a few more 300tdi sourcing projects in the works if there are folks looking for solid daily driver type trucks in the next 6-12 months.
