Every now and then I see a really good low milage example come up on the SoCal craigslist. Typically well maintained and never seen more than a few drops of rain. I'm tempted myself... it would be cool to start a thread to post good looking LR3/LR4's with the right options, since I've noticed an increasing amount of Defender owners interested in them.
Every once in a while I search the SoCal CL and have noticed a few there. Its just too far from me to be practical. There is a nice one with lots of Tactical Rover gear listed right now that caught my attention.
I'm interested to but it's tough to know with all the drivetrains the LR 3/4 have used to know what to avoid.
My next ride has to be capable of towing my 90.

Nope. The NAS LR3's with a V8 has the 4.4 Jag engine. The 5.0 in the NAS LR4's is also a Jag engine.
Any known issues with the Jag 5.0 V8? I'm beginning a search for an LR4 and maybe L322 and noticed they share that engine (over certain years).
Hot deal, only $28k...
