They work ok as long as mounted horizontally, when vertical the smooth can will just slip out :(

I have some Quickfist stuff, but I have not really figured how to put it to use very well. I do use a few of them on the roof rack.

Let's see pics of how people use the Quickfists. The problem I have with them is that they are fairly specific to where they can be mounted. I don't feel like putting holes in the spots where I would like to have them.

I agree. They are great but require a flat mounting surface with proper spacing. Would he great for something modular like a front runner or rhino rack roof rack.
