What have you done to your Land Rover

The Landy often gets used as a work bench, so many wonderful flat spots. Today it was used as a welder cart. I was welding on light brackets on the fire department water truck and needed a little more reach on the wire feed nozzle.

Installed a new Hitachi air compressor in the LR3. The (I believe) original gave up the ghost on Friday. I should have paid more attention to it get getting loud over the past couple of months.

Traded a 60/40 split bench from my truck for someone else's 3 individual splits.

I needed the single bases for my new exmoor seats.

Now I need to figure out where it all goes. And get bolts.

Any hints or or tips.

That's funny, abit like our 90 gets used as a staging for passing up solar panels, which reminds me l need some stronger decking on the roof rack.

I FINALLY replaced my glass fuse box with a blade fuse box. I won't lie, I've been a little scared all of these years, so I kept putting it off. It wasn't too bad after all. And so far, no smoke.

Trail driving in VT with a bunch of Rovers and a couple of Jeeps. Jeeps gave up. Two RRC, two D2 and my 90. Snow light but condiovariable. Nothing like a little ice to make things more interesting. D2s needed recovering mostly.
Decided 12-13 psi is my preferred TP.

Tidied up the wiring on the 5.3 after some plastic trimming & made a start on the new rear axle brake lines.

Fixed the damn front end leak! I had a new 4.6 with top hats installed a couple of years ago and have been chasing front end oil leaks ever since. All of my fixes have decreased the leaking. New power steering lines, rebuilt my stainless oil cooler lines, oil pressure sensor seal, sleeved and put a new seal on crank pulley...still leaking. wtf. Oil pressure relief valve o-ring! if any one needs some one let me know as i now have 50 viton 19mm by 1.5mm o-rings. My front cover has 175K miles on it. o-ring was rock hard and flat. I had to pry and crack it off. Very satisfying.

Assembled right front door after sealing rust with POR 15 (No way to do this fast rinsing and drying between steps), adding Roadkill sound liner, all new seals and window channels/fillers and sprayed CorrosionX at the inaccessible places.
Three more to go!

A very productive first day of spring. I Renewed my plates, put road insurance back on, did a quick brake bleed and took the first road drive in almost 3 years. Very satisfying after all the toil to get to this point.

When I put on the external cage, I had to change how I mounted my rack (which had custom welded legs on it). I reinforced the rack cross members, took off the aluminum sheet and painted the rack along with silicone adhering (no rattles) and riveting the aluminum back on, and welded up a new rack attachment system using split collars around the roll cage and then six bolts that hold the rack on to the supports. Super strong, as light as I could make it, and very silent.

Nice job Chris. An idea how tall your truck is with the rack? If not you don't need to measure, I'm just a bit curious if you do know.
