Your favorite brand of hose clamps

So I bought some gates hose clamps that were supposed to be 100% stainless steel and low and behold.... They are not.

I'm going to need a bunch of different sizes to put this new motor in and I'd like to put on some nice ones.

I used to really like the BMW branded clamps but they've gotten so expensive now that I'm not really willing to spend $7 for a hose clamp.

Any other suggestions maybe from you boat nerds?

ABA jubilee clamps, 100% st/st. Raised edges no screw indents on the inside. I get mine from Ultimage garage dot com, West Marine also carries them if you need a single one. Have nice day.

What does that have to do with anything? They are a highly reputable supplier of exactly this type of product, at a reasonable price, in reasonable quantities, easy to buy from and fast shipping. They have distribution warehouses in many different locations now. Far better to do business with than Fastenal, Grainger, etc. in my opinion.

Because I want to know what I'm buying so I can buy it again, kind of the whole reason for this thread. While they are reputable and relatively easy to deal with for something like a hose clamp I want to know the brand so I can buy that exact part again. Let's say for example I buy these from McMaster or Grainger and then they change their supplier, either now I can't get it or I can get something slightly different.

Well the specification may be of a specific quality where and who makes it determines exactly what you're getting. See my other post about bolts and you'll understand what I mean.

Buying a part based on its specification sometimes can work out really well. But sometimes buying a part based on a specification let's say milspec really doesn't mean shit. Buying a meal spec bolt carrier for an AR-15 just means that you're getting carpenter 158 steel. It doesn't mean that it's been mpi inspected ,and it means sometimes that you're overpaying for the specification and getting substandard quality in other features like material construction.

I could kind of blab about this stuff all day but it's really just a personal opinion there's no wrong and right answer here. In my experience above you can see that I bought the gates clamps specifically because they're supposed to be 100% stainless steel and that's what they were marketed as and it turns out that the screw is zinc plated and they were substandard quality. So not only was the specification incorrect but even the branding was wrong. So neither really would have helped me here.. why I'm asking here for specific brands and types.

Those look really cool. Curious, what sort of cost are these? Are they in the $3-4 range?

Just found some on Amazon--they are in that $3-6 range depending on quantity and size... Not bad.
Just be careful there is a torque spec for them something like 30-70 in./lbs depending on size.

I'd love to find the clamps used on a Disco 2 upper radiator hose. It is a regular hose clamp with a spring loaded section to maintain constant pressure.

Ideal makes them, I used to sell them way back if I recall. Napa or other parts shops should have them in stock...
