WTB - good condition 8" Android tablet (not a fire)

My little guy broke his screen on his Fire HD (8") the other day, I replaced the screen but it looks like the damage took out the bottom half of the digitizer too. This isn't worth fixing further. I want to avoid another fire because of the effort to de-amazon it (and constantly having to re-do that every few months), so I'd prefer to go actual android this time. I found a few for under $100 that don't look terrible (2gb ram and decent processor) but I figured I'd check here first if anybody has one they're looking to get rid of.

What's out there?

(No iOS suggestions please)

Not sure if it meets your needs.
Got Trey a refurbished Dragon Touch with 2gb +32gb with gps and 64 bit processor.
Its a 10 inch and intent is to use it as a nav setup in his 90 with Samer's dash dock and a RAM mount. Cheap enough that if it gets stolen it wont be the end of the world

It might, any idea if it natively supports the google play store? Some of the cheaper android devices don't. I'll check it out, thanks.

Also, for Trey's 90 if the radio mounts in the dash (as opposed to the console), another option is an android radio. Other than the shitty amp (which you can augment with an actual amp) I love mine, its in the dash and should do exactly what you're looking for. Minor adjustment needed to not hit the dash pad.

Already have the tablet and dashdock is on its way.
He's got a terrafirma overhead ceiling mount console and is going to mount a 20w GMRS up there and going with a simple hidden bluetooth amp down around the cubby.

I purchased a cheap ($110) Android tablet on Amazon... Great specs... Two months in, and the bottom of the screen stopped responding to touch.

Got it covered under warranty after 6 or 7 emails... The replacement's screen is already detaching from the rest of the case.

I am so gentle on my stuff...and I swear I will never buy crappy shit like that again...if a toddler had that tablet, it would maybe last 3 days.

I hate the Amazon app store crap, but the hardware is actually decent for the money... It's a loss leader for them.

At least don't buy this one...the reviews are due to their post purchase offers... "Leave us a comment and we will send you a free case/screen protector /mail order bride/blah blah blah! "

which I believe is totally against amazon policies too

Agreed on the hardware, the issue is the neutered software, you can de-amazon it and also put the google play store on it, but its a constant battle to keep tricking it into using the non-amazon launcher after most fire os updates. Honestly, I might try a lenovo one I found at B&H.
