Wings

My wing top diamond plate was looking a little rough so I thought I'd pull them off and get them powder coated. Unfortunately when I had the truck painted, the shop used a heavy duty adhesive to settle them to the wing tops....... that had been extensively bondo'd to get rid of the antenna holes.

New wing tops, 3mm diamond plates and ABS sides on the way from SP4x4. I haven't used them before but I've heard good things about their doors. If you have experience with their wing panels, chime in with good or bad.

I've ordered doors frames and steel skins from there as well as body panels. The doors are good but need a bit of bending and tweaking to get them to line up, pretty easy. Now I don't know for sure on my one wing, I ordered two front fenders and one wing from them and then later I got the other wing from LRDirect so I can't say which was off. I was having a hard time getting the bolt holes to line up, the headlight buckets were lined up nice but the bulkhead side was sticking back too far as you can see in the picture. When I compared it to the other side it was about 1/8" longer, of course I realize this after I had painted it. I just drilled out the spot welds and sanded it back a bit then replaced the one rivet and glued it back on so I didn't have to repaint.
