Option 4:

The LR dealer in Liechtenstein when balancing my tires on the Rangie with different rims mounted them with OWL out on one side and OWL in on the other side. When bringing this to Service Mngr attention we both laughed!

OWL IN as I can also hear it For The Love Of God!!

I still stand by my vote for out. It’s all personal preference. It wouldn’t work on my wife’s Pilot, but rovers have the ability to look right (almost) no matter what. I would even go for red letters or trim if it was the right tire for the job. But then, I always loved Hot Wheels cars and I have an Imperial logo on my hood. Maybe I’m not the best judge.

I think it works on some rovers with the right kind of rims. I'm a fan of always facing in because the white is another thing to clean and keep up with. I know this personally because the shop put the lettering on the outside and Mr. clean magic eraser to freshen it up
Out goes well on some vintage cars and race cars.

When it comes with lettering...

Letters in on the Prado my friend. Find some different rims, though. I have a set of 17” dark grey 8 hole rims that were on FJ Cruisers and some of the 4Runners. I think they look great on the 90 and 120 Prados.
