Where Does This Belong? Mystery Screw

I have a 1993 NAS 110 and when I moved it yesterday to sweep the floor, the screw shown in this post, was on the floor under the 110 about where the trans and T-case are located. I crawled under and can't find where it goes unless whatever it was holding on is also missing. Don't know how long it has been on the floor or when it fell off so whatever it was securing may also be gone?

I do not have any checker plating and the NAS is unmolested and is original except for an upgrade from rear drums to disk brakes.

The screw is metal, about 7/8th of an inch long, Hex head, 5mm and has MSD printed on the head along with 10.9.

It doesn't have any oil or fluids on it, I checked and all my fluids are topped off :ROFLMAO: and surprisingly rust free. It is made of metal, it sticks to a magnet.

Any ideas?????

It looks like the screws that hold my hood hinges on. It also looks like the screws that hold the disk to the hub when the lug nuts are off.

It's definitely not the screw(s) from the hood. They are all there and are painted the same color as the 110. I'll check disks next.

By chance.. is this some random countersunk that decided to take a nap in the shade under your land rover, but actually has nothing to do with it? From my perspect of having turned many countersunks that size.. the picture of that screw looks like its never been used, and never been screwed into anything.

I'd venture to say that is a virgin screw.

There are only a few places that flat head hex screws were used on Defenders. The two that come to mind are the starter body and the bottom of some years of swivels housings.

There is also a counter sunk screw on the emergency brake drum after you remove the drive shaft and the power steering pump upper left (difficult to get to). not Typically an Allen screws…. What work have you done to the truck lately?

The only work was replaced all the spark plugs, wires, rotor, cap and the fuel filter. If it wasn't for the screw being metric, I wouldn't think it belonged on the Defender. I own nothing else that is possibly metric.
