Really cool seeing what we all do!
I’m a mining engineer of 15 years both underground and open pit. And no gold rush Alaska isn’t how real companies do it (safety & environmental wise). Not to say it’s fake, but it only represents a couple percent of the annual domestic gold production. And also that’s not how the mining industry operates today.
I would love to se a breakdown of how much they actually spent to get the gold they show at the end. The clean up is one thing, what they spent to get there and then pay the claim owner and each other is a much different animal. The drama got too much for me.

Started as a landscape architect using computer mapping for land development clients; founded a satellite imagery consulting firm and grew it for ten years-mostly routing international pipelines and building environmental data for oil & gas exploration; did a public service stint as the State of Texas Geographic Information Officer, now doing cloud consulting and evangelizing the importance of design in the digital age.

Ha...

Most of my work in the last 20 years was in airborne imaging. First it was in the ocean, then in sandbox, now - mostly agricultural.

Hmmm, I was a H3 flight mech in Kodiak from 90-92. Maybe we flew together? Man those were some great times.
