What have you done today to your LAND ROVER (Non Defender)

One nice things about these trucks is that unlike more modern vehicles including LR, they really don’t have an obvious battery drain when not in use. Leave a more recent vehicle parked for a week or two and it’s battery loses lots of its charge.
always good to get it out of the barn and on the road.

Pulled the Series out of storage, along with everything else, and brought it to the new house. Now it can get some much needed attention as it runs like crap.

We received some snow and needed to get to a location so woke the Rangie from hibernation:

Pulled the NV225 out of the RRC and fitting a nice LT230 in place. Anybody want a rebuilt NV225 but no viscous coupling?

Swapping out my Battery in my 110CSW. Been in there 6 years now and drained it a few times. 😮. Heavy beast 🤨

Finally installed my Wright Off Road acoustic mat set. A lot of cutting and fitting, but they fit great. One word of advice, install them in the summer. Cold weather makes the mats about as flexible as 3/4 inch plywood.

Will road test tomorrow to see if there is a big different in noise.

I have not driven my truce since I installed them, so no info on the additional sound deadening yet. Maybe Dave can give an update on that. Overall, they are very good quality and fit very well. They are made of very high density material (which if why they are very stiff) and have a mold release agent on them (which is why they are slimy). Since there is nearly and infinite number of possible configurations for Defenders, they need to be modified to fit. Trimming, cutting holes and openings, and removal of the interior is required. Once complete, you need to let them sit overnight to "settle", then they fit very well. I wanted a seat box cover, and theirs is very nice. It really finishes the interior, albeit with rubber.

Is it worth the cost and effort, well that would be up to you. I am glad I did it.

Ive had them quote me two, one for the 90 and the 110. Just wanted to see how Brexit plays out--I think there may be a currency shift nice enough to wait... We will see...

Not sure how currency fluctuations will help or hurt. About half of the cost for ordering them direct was the shipping cost. The box weighed 70 lbs and came via DHL. Perhaps a group buy if there is interest and ship via surface freight. I have the contact info for Drew at Wright Off Road.

I think the currency shift is going to go against us in the US. Its been very favorable for so long that some at least short term shift against us in the US is bound to happen. UK economy isn't doing well right now.

Charged battery, drove home for christmas in the rain o_O Amsoil powerfoam treatment (highly reccomend), and an oil change. Putting it back to bed until our birthday! Ran like a dream creeping past 90k.....

It always frustrated me that there has never been a second-row flooring solution to go with the wright off road mat. Seems like a mat that wrapped from the floor up the back of the kick panel would be great.

A few jobs to do all easy. Put a replacement door top on my drivers side so I can replace the worn out felt and still drive. Tightened spare wheel carrier latch, a bit more dynamat inside and a few more odds and endS before it’s back in the barn out of the weather.

Added a Garrison Outfitters battery disconnect switch. Thinking about adding a second one for the winch power.
