I improvised a cup holder as my daughter wanted a smoothie. I guess I need to find something better for the future.

The urethane wheels of my creeper have finally dry rotted while I was rolling underneath my truck whipping and figuring out where my leaks are coming from. Ona long trip oil/fluid was everywhere and my driveway and garage looked like oil was coming from everywhere. Drove the truck for a little while and I think there is a small leak in the front maybe the power steering and a typical leak around the bell housing wading plug/hole.

Just noticed the can of Polycrylic in the pic. I was using it as a prop to hold things at certain angles. It’s not what I use as a coating. For that I use Glaze Epoxy.

Here’s the previous one I did. I think they turn out pretty well.

Wow, that looks really good!

I miss my 1995 RRC. One popped up here local to me. I bet we see it on BaT soon. Green/Lightstone Interior/10K original miles. Yeah you read that right, $30K. Too nice and rich for my blood. I think it is the one coil LR I want to own again, but they have been found.

I hear ya! That is a BRG long wheelbase with a light stone interior in the background of one of my pics. Gorgeous combo.

And to anyone that wants to attempt this job, it’s all in the prep. Just sand until you’re happy. It’s not really hard at all. If all you have are cracks, just sand the high points down and glaze over. The cracks wind up looking like grain when it’s all said and done. You just need to get comfortable with the process, have a clean room, and patience. Masking is also very important. This stuff winds up thick and can make reinserting the buttons a PITA. I learned the hard way on my first one. Took a couple hours with a Dremel :)

Pulled out the bits to start rebuilding the hard top on the Series. I’ll need to do some refurb on it first, but it makes me excited for taking it on a mountain camping trip this December.

I have had an issue with the starter in my Series for years. The high ratio starter had worn the "front" of the flywheel teeth down to where it would catch only 50% of the time at most. So I pulled that one and put in an old school type that will engage the back of the teeth. Its a hack, and will work for a period of time. It keeps me from having to go deeper in the meantime. No pics of that, but after I helped a friend with a rogue tree.
