Touchscreen satellite nav and Bluetooth stereo in a 34 year old farm tractor.

Rovers North RAM dash mount
Hondo Garage Big Squeeze tablet mount
iPad Mini 6 (cellular) running Sygic GPS
Anker Bluetooth speaker.

So, not the most complex installation, but it's rock solid, and I don't have to worry about sticky fingers when I'm running the soft top.

Replaced the latch on my rear door (Thanks @Z.G), we now have reliable closing AND locking*! Also got to replace the plexiglass "temporary" (its been 2 years) rear window (Thanks @WreckITFrank) stand-in for when my bull in a china shop sister shattered the previous glass one when closing the door. The funny thing is it had rear defog wiring and a switch up front, so the one that broke was definitely also a replacement (sans defog). I'm very happy with the results.

The lock was a bit finicky once transferred, but clicked into place fully once it was actually bolted to the door.

Finally got around to replacing the drivers side inner fender. Did the passenger side a while back.

Building up the new plastic inner fender is time consuming especially when you take very part off and refurbish it.

Man the two bottom bolts near the rad bottom at the frame for the outer fender are damn difficult with AC and an intercooler 😳

Going slow on getting truck ready for SCARR https://www.scarrtexasrovers.com/

Reinstalled Robert Davis's sedimenter, and plumbed in diesel heater, next is 12v electric pump.
On the hunt for a new Power steering pump. Koni shocks, new panhard and track bar up next and installing a Roamerdrive! :D
Then addressing some electrical issues that I caused to some accessory items when I installed my headliner, plus many other small things.

Also taking donations for an A/c and safety device roll cage ;)

Where’d you connect your heater fuel line?

Going to tee mine off the return line. With engine running, it gets warm filtered fuel. With it off, it can't accidentally suck all the fuel out of the tank because the return pipe only extends part way down into the tank.

What's your impression on the plastic liners vs the galvy ones? Also, is that a seal around your hood?
The plastic is way better and fits perfectly. It will never rust! As you can see in the pics my galvie inners rusted out just fine (after 24 years). And… yes I have a 10mm self adhesive “D” seal on the hood edge and another at the firewall as well as under hood insulation it is 5bd reduction in noise. The firewall seal is from a Saab 900 hood edge strip and clips right on the edge perfectly. Don’t even here the Td5 with the vents open. 👍🏻

So after doing the inner fenders on my 110 CSW front right caliper became seized. So i set about rebuilding the damn thing. Two outer pistons were super seized and took a lot of persuasion to remove. Thankfully the cylinder bores were perfect. Sone degreasing, de-rusting and painting, new seals pistons, pads, pins and springs C-TX has one caliper as good as new. Not bad for 24 years of driving and 190,000 kms. Now to tackle the left front cause if one is seized the other is not far off.

Had to replace a 1/2 UNF bolt on my Panhard bracket (this is RHD).
I have my suspicions that the PO used an impact gun to tighten it when the bashplate was installed and it sheered the head off.
I had noticed previously that it had no head...but I had assumed it was simply a locating pin and not a bolt.
As it turned out, the bolt finally backed out enough that it was no longer supporting the bracket at all, which caused the steering box bracket to break, which caused a worst death wobble ever....so glad I was 1/2mile from home.
Welded up the steering box bracket (while the new one arrives, and got a Grade8 1/2 UNC (temp) bolt until the UNF arrives.
Removing the old bolt was joy...I had to tap it out from the outside, until it lodged (head left a slight proud spot), then I could remove the bolt and back it out from the inside. all together, approx 2hours of work.

paid the penance to old Joe today with the usual green box trio. Gauges are out for a swap so figure it time since the mount was busted and there's some play in the wiper. I am almost treating these as consumables at this point.

The new one in elon acts like crap and cancels its self when it is not supposed to. Land Rover turn signals peaked with the switch on series II.

Prepping to replace the rusted winch bumper. The CB radio is going to be yanked out to.

Took longer than expected. My Superwinch didn't fit inside the new bumper, so ordered a Warn to replace it. JEGS cancelled the order without telling me.....One of those moments where I'm boiling inside, but ever so polite on the outside..... The Terrafirma A bar is deeper than the new bumper at the mounting points, so thats now in storage pending clean up and selling. Its so nice to have the big fat CB antenna gone.
