I love those floors, are they durable too?
Thanks, I’m not sure how durable the floors are yet, as I put them in at the end of the summer and have it parked for the winter. I think they will do just fine and any wear/scratches will just add character.

I used African mahogany glued and screwed on thin pressure treated plywood (shellacked the back too) with black teak caulking. Once assembled I just laid it in there with a metal threshold piece to lock it in (it isn’t going anywhere).

I love it. You may have inspired me for a warmer day to try something similar...

I finally got around to installing the 2010+ Puma door seals on the bottom of my doors. Being molded to the shape of the frame and wrapping up the sides, these seal so much better than the alternatives. Ive seen people put them on square frame old-style doors but I‘ve got no idea how well they work in that circumstance.

Most of the existing holes can be used but they need to be opened up a bit for the push-fasteners. One additional hole is required on each end of the seal for the wrap-around part. I used a 5mm drill and chamfered the holes with an 8mm bit. I put a little touch up paint in the holes.

Nice to not have daylight coming in the bottoms of the doors.

Took the old girl out for a drink. She’s about an oil change from 200k, but still taking me everywhere I point her.

These fit older square welded doors as well. Great mod! Highly recommend this 👍🏻

Do they remove easily to allow for cleaning if/when they get muddy?
Nope, the go on with push fasteners, I don’t see how they could be removed intact. But they’re flexible and you could readily clean around them.

Finally finished soundproof on the bonnet and sealed it up to the bulkhead with a rubber seal. Actually achieved between a 4-5 Db drop with seals and sound insulation in place (at idle). Amazing how much noise bleeds out around the open bonnet edges. Should be a bit less noise inside while driving as well. 👍🏻
