I got the 90 running finally. It’s been sitting since the week before Thanksgiving after eating it’s serpentine belt. The tensioner had gone bad, so the belt let go. I figured the 10 year old timing belt should be done too (the truck has been sitting for 8 of those years) and the IP had just started leaking from the high pressure side. Unfortunately my o-ring change on the pump turned into a pump-out operation when the least accessible torx bolts started to round out. I got the pump out, changed the big o-ring, reinstalled the IP, got her re-timed, primed, buttoned up, and running. This project has been a disaster of perfectly wrong weather during weekends I’ve had free time. And when I got some free time, something would happen like the pump bolt and I’d be stuck waiting for good weather again. So relieved to not have a deadlined Rover in my driveway.
