My wife wants a CupFone for her 1997 LE with the Automatic console

The diameter of the LE's cup holder appears to be of a smaller diameter than most modern cars/trucks.
WeatherTech mas claims that the CupFone is universal and WeatherTech's customer support is unwilling to confirm that it will fit.

Anyone use a CupFone in their automatic transmission console?

Is anyone using Side Window Wind Deflectors? Do they work well? Are you happy with them? What brand are you using?
WeatherTech appears to have a product that fits a Defender.

Thanks

I say just buy one and try it.

They're not that expensive.

The '97 cupholder is ridiculously small though, anything larger than a 12oz aluminum can is too large...

Thats not the only one of its type out there. Just the one that is heavily advertised. Amazon has a ton of them

FWIW.
David MacNeil the owner/founder of Weathertech is a defender enthusiast. We worked with him on a couple of 110's. I'd asked that he come out with specialized mats for defenders but the production numbers must have been too low

I dunno, I put a large McDonald's drink in it on a regular basis. Snug, but that way it stays put.

I was not very impressed with the fit of the passenger LR3 mats. Drivers is good but passenger is fairly short and sloshes around (we don’t have the hooks in the floor). We ended up get husky mats for our Ram and I’ve been very happy.

you’d think the guy could just throw us a bone and subsidize the market. I’m sure there would be some additional market overseas. There really needs to be a good floor liner option for the defender - something that would catch everything from leaky door seals to clutch fluid and direct it all out towards the door.

A friend has the cup phone and I wasn’t impressed. Looking down and away at a small screen did not look ideal to me. I don’t use phone holders but the ones that look like an improvement mount to the front glass.

That's what I have in the 90.
Suction cup to the glass=magnet mount to the phone.

It has never come off on trails or road driving but you can instantly grab it if you need it.
