Try Govberg in PA. They do the MX on my Breitling and gave some very nice used watches.

My Explorer II came from Nashville Watch and my wife’s Datejust came from HQ Milton. Jacek was the sales guy I dealt with at HQ Milton and has now opened his own store called Tropical Watch. He has a lot of vintage ones with nice patina.

What are you buying?

Thanks. I'm just window-shopping. I can't believe how expensive they've gotten.

I bought mine from this website:
https://www.rolexforums.com/index.php
It is just a watch forum but I did my due diligence before I sent any money. The seller was awesome and I would love to send you his way but unfortunately he doesn't sell watches any more.
Actually, when I was looking for my I saw a few recommendations on there for Nashville Watch. He seems to sell newer stuff now. Mine is from 2005

I hooked my nephew up with Bo from the other site. Bo recommended he contact X and drop his name, with that the nephew got a steep discount.
I know that won’t work for you, but it worked.
You can also walk in with yours on the wrist. They see you are “in” and know you will spend. They tend to take better care of you.
Sorry no sites, just tips I guess.

It looks like I am completely priced out of the Rolex market now. Maybe I'm just behind the times but these prices feel unsustainable, like home prices before the 2008 crash. Are there really that many people lined up to buy $15,000 Subs? I think I paid around $4,000 for mine in 2009.

It's nuts. I missed the sweet spot for Rolex prices. The lack of availability at authorized dealers drove me to Omega. They arguably have a better movement, as well.

I love my Railmaster and I'm thinking about a Seamaster 300 as a 50th birthday present to myself.

There seems to be. When looking around at the various sites pricing is close amongst them.

I'll never own one in today's market unless it was given to me as a gift or something. There are just a thousand other things I'd spend 15k on before getting to any kind of timepiece. At 4k, maybe I'd splurge.
