Wanted: trashed 300 head

I need to do some more porting on my current 300 head. I have a late model 300 head. I'm looking for a trash 300 head that I could cut apart so I can measure how far I can go without destroying this one.

Anyone ?

On a side note, didn't Roberto D. have a bunch of garbage 300tdi stuff for sale recently?

not directly related, but i came across this thread tonight which has details on ARP studs for the 300tdi. may be of interest for a high perf build.

i know, anemic. i am not convinced that anyone has really tuned a tdi to anywhere near its actual limit. so much of the tuning knowledge is from old world sheep farmers looking for a little more go without having to do much. i think that with a correctly put together setup it is absolutely feasible to have a 200 plus horsepower / 350 tq 300tdi but it will take over 30 pounds of boost to get there. queue the head studs (and o-ringed head).

i imagine napalm is thinking the same thing with a fully ported head.

Yep I'm o-ringing the head with a MLS gasket and had measured for arp studs. This is helpful

I've ported numerous heads in the past, but have never even seen a Turner ported head up close. Take of that what you will

who is doing the o-ring for you and where are you sourcing the MLS gasket?

share any links or info to the Reulparts engine if you can.

I have a trashed 300tdi head ... i replaced it with a turner ported version. Ping me a DM if you still need it.

You shaving the head too? I know that helps quite a bit...

After it's assembled, I'll be measuring the Piston protrusion with a sled gauge. This with valve setback will tell me how far I can mill the head and still have space for an oring.

Short answer, yep
