When running higher duty injectors they actually insert more fuel in a shorter period of time. Same thing with running the plunger and ramp plate from the 4BT, more fuel in a smaller injection window.
The longer the injection window or the more that you increase fueling on the stock equipment the more that you're injecting outside of the correct timing for the injection event.
Therefore higher flowing 2.8 nozxles, higher injection pressures,higher volume of fuel via larger plunger and, shorter overall injection event timing via the ramp plate all equal less smoke for the same amount of fuel out of lower rated or stock equipment.
