Had one of the single cab 6x6's breifly and thats now in the midst of a build in Florida.
The double/crew cab 6x6's are very rare- only 26 built. We have three of those. Just shipped a highly customized one on its way to a client in ND. The 5 door perentie is also rare with only 26 of those built as well. Just grabbed the last one of those @ the last auction. Its being built out for a fellow in Washington state for overland travel.
I have a GS model and an FFR model stateside available for purchase if anyone is contemplating one, come take a drive.

On the 6x6 we have experimented, the distance between the two rear axles limits you to a 32 inch tire. Otherwise on articulation the tires scrub ea other.

No idea how many have been auctioned but Matt told me there were only 25-26 of that spec ( called the "commander" model) and that last one was the best that had come up for auction so far. There arent any in the next auction nor any crew cab 6x6's. There aren't many of these trucks period. There were only around 5000 built in all (all the variants combined) and they have been auctioning off the survivors for years now.

What's the story for rebuilds on those Isuzu motors? Is there an equivalent of Turner?

Isuzu or GM. The same engine was in the NPR series of light duty delivery trucks.
I don't think anyone with a land rover has put enough miles on one to need to replace it.
Far more robust engine than the rover tdi's.
