Has anyone installed one of these and willing to sell me their telephone? I'm selling one of my defenders but its missing this part. I would buy the speaker panel if it was a keeper for sure. Great design. Or maybe there's a way someone could trace it for me?

After over 2 years of delays beyond my control I finally installed Scot's rear speaker panel
Excellent workmanship, quality materials, and great instructions. A well thought out piece of kit.
Fit like a glove.

Downside. It looks so good it makes my headliner look so bad.

Thanks for the kind words Surveyor. My goal has always been to make the best product possible.

What did you end up deciding for speakers? Could you post a couple pictures of the finished install?

I went with Polk DB652 Speakers 6.5" Marine grade

I haven't decided whether to reinstall the grab handles

Looks great! But...how do they sound?

Obviously you couldn't ever get anything out of speakers below the quarter windows.

If you want to re-cover your headliner, I have material available.

Unfortunately the Marine radio unit I want is on back order. So I'll have to wait a bit to find out

Latest group of panels is complete. I have been working the last couple days on packaging everything up, all should ship this week. From here, each goes into a custom sized box for safe shipping. Purchasers will receive an email with a tracking number on the day their panel ships.

I have had enquiries for the next group run which is now open for orders.

Finally got the radio installed in the Tuffy Console and the front and rear speakers wired in. Sounds awesome. Much, much better than my wife's D-9O LE which has the rear speakers low in the tub. I can hear clearly over the din of the 300 tdi
Had to shim out the front left 4" speaker 1" to clear the wiper motor. The front right grill is flush on the lower dash

I'm debating on whether to upgrade the D-90 with the rear speaker panel but that will be my wife's final decision; she doesn't want to deviate from the truck's originality and cutting the rear window trim would do that.

I have a couple clients that had the same concern with NAS trucks, wanting to keep everything 100% original. A few bought replacement quarter window trims to use with the panel, and kept the originals if they ever wanted to remove the panel (the NAS and ROW trims are the same profile up to the '07 Puma). They are usually around on the forums, used. New are available from RN, and the usual online UK parts sellers.

Last 2 panels from the summer run are finishing up. Group run for the fall is now open for orders, there are a few things to note:

• the roll of Genuine Ripple Grey material is starting to get thin, if this is the finish you want, it's not going to be available much longer. This is the last roll that was in stock from the manufacturer, it's no longer being made.

• lots of other finishes available. Grey match to the stock interior, black, Alcantara, carbon fiber just ask.

• like everything else, costs are increasing. Pricing has been the same since 2018, this will be the last run at the current pricing structure.

• I have had several orders in the last few runs shipping to APO and FPO addresses. No issues shipping to these, seems like I can get things delivered overseas to these addresses faster than the lower 50. (I guess thats military efficiency for you).

Current orders are shipping this coming week and I have had a few enquiries fro the next run of panels. Please PM or post if you if you are interested in joining the next run of panels.

I was on FB a couple days ago and saw a nice Td5 offered for sale in Vancouver. Taking closer look at the custom interior, I saw one of my LED panels installed in the rear. Looks just like it came from the factory, and sure it sounds a whole lot better. Full leather seats are pretty nice too.

It's always a treat when I drop panels into my upholsterer, always something amazing to see. He's a craftsman that works from his home, only works on 1 vehicle at a time. After apprenticing at the Coverntry Jaguar factory he spent many years there working before moving to Canada. It's amazing to see the work he does. I feel very fortunate to be able to work with him on he speaker panels! This complete interior leather recover is AMAZING!

I have another run of panels on the go, if anyone is interested, just post here or PM.
