Universal car door lock system.

Hello,

I just wonder if any members know where to find an U.S made universal car door lock system with remote key fob or at least European made one. I'm looking to get my defender 90 retrofitted with keyless entry, it's quite convenience when you have a passenger come along with you.

Most of I can find are Chinese made, don't really mind but just don't want to open it up again and replace as time go by in future.

You could make this work with push button doors, not with lift up handle doors. I'd just find whatever system was most prevalent and best reviewed on amazon to be honest.

I installed a universal auto door lock system in my series three (with lift handles). It is quite easy so, it definitely can be done. Just a heads up 👍🏻

I have since installed a virtually identical system into my 110 CSW (push button doors) and tapped it into the 10AS alarm/immobilizer unit so I only have one fob.

As for not buying China, I picked up both systems from US based sellers on fleabay.
