id implore you to remove and replace the stock fuel filter housing or at least reroute the lines and replace them with rubber. avoids alot of these issues and priming problems

I did that. It may have helped. No more hard plastic lines. Next up is your fuel filter housing and stainless lines upgrade.

Something I'm just discovering now: pre 200tdi LT77s have a lower gear ratio in 5th than the ones that came with 200tdi's (.8413 vs .77). By my math I'm going to be down about 5mph at around 3k rpm. So if people are reporting 65-70mph with the later LT77's at 2800-3000 rpm, I'll be doing 60-65 (roughly) at the same rpm. That's roughly where I think I am now, though I'll find out tomorrow on a highway drive. Maybe it's time to install the 56A LT77 that's just sitting on my garage floor waiting to be cleaned and sealed. Or a stumpy R380.
i didnt know, ot fogot about that 5th gear being different in LT77s.
Mine and go 75, but cruises 70 all day long. So i wonder if i boost the speed up by installing a later model lt77 (frankly i think 80mph is fast enough in these trucks.)

You're more likely to have a negligible increase in top speed (due to aerodynamics) but lower your rpms, thus engine/gearbox noise, a bit at 70 and 70+. With no roll cage and body panels made up of mostly aluminum, I wouldn't want to do 80 very often. I was just in New Mexico where people regularly seem to drive 80-85+. Even in a Tacoma I wasn't really comfortable going that fast. Maybe I'm getting soft.
