Turbo sound

The turbo sound on my truck has changed since the last time I drove it.

It's cold out- not Arctic Circle cold. Can air temp affect the sound? It's just when it's boosting (is that a real word??) and it has a different whine.

No other kind of turbo symptoms- no loss of power, no smoke changes.

Thoughts? I'm paranoid this truck is going to implode on itself. Again.

Check oil level?

Like in the truck? It's due for an oil change from the new motor install. And this is a VNT turbo that was new. There is a history here of issues with said motor. But the turbo has been fine. Just noticed the pitch change today.

Yup check the entire inlet system for loose clamps. Also do you have a blow off valve? Has that seized even slightly open?

back in the day people used to pay my shop to make it louder...I noticed the same after a recent trip in mine, around 32 degrees seemed to spool louder. Ironically, @JimC was right on as near the end of the trip the upper IC hose blew off and i nearly sharted. Check hoses, and but if in colder temps might be as Dave suggested.
