Turbo Cartridge rebuilds - 200TDi

Anyone rebuilt their turbos for a 200Tdi - using just a turbo cartridge? Is it as easy as it looks for as cheap as it looks (under $200)? I am not looking to break the sound barrier with my rolling appliance just looking to replace a loose shaft with a new one - like for like.

Cheers -
Matt

ive done it and it is relatively easy.. all about being ultra clean. if you live anywhere but the desert expect to have to repair at least a few broken studs when disassembling. replace the stock inlet 4 studs and nuts and the exhaust elbow with copper turbo reduced head nuts. Will make reassembly much much easier and disassembly in the future the same. i also replace the studs with SS ones IF they come out easily

Before you order anything, remove the exhaust elbow and check the turbo housing at the wastegate valve for cracks....super common, then its new turbo or VNT time.

Thanks for the tips and tricks! Fingers crossed on the housing....
