I'm headed to this area with a friend in a few weeks and was wondering if there were any legal trails that I could hit in the area? Even Greenlaning is fine, it doesn't have to be gnarly.
Trails in Catskills/greater Hudson NY area?

The Catskills is a tough area to find off road trails because of the "Wilderness" designation. There is a lot of great hiking in the area though.
Hunter ski area used to offer paid excursions on the west side of the mountain -- unsure if they still do. You might also want to check out Windham ski area.

Buy a NY Atlas & Gazetteer . There are dirt roads in the area and depending on how adventurous (or nefarious?) you feel plenty of power line trails. I know the area pretty well but its been a minute since I've been up there and with regularity. What town are you going to be in specifically?

Saugerties/Hudson area
Nothing around there, but I'm really unfamiliar of the area that far north on the east side of the Hudson. You need to go an hour west and there are some fun greelaning-type trails.
