Tool Deals Thread

SK has some good steals and deals. According to Harry J Epstein’s youtube, SK is getting sold by Ideal to the Chinese (or private equity) so American made SK could be going away.

Got the 3/8 SAE swivel set (USA made) the $17 linesman pliers (prob channellock or Wilde made as they say USA), but what got me to make an order was the 6 point double offset metric wrenches in short pattern. Got 9x10, 11x12, 13x14 and 17x19 all in $40 which seemed good. These all seem to be maybe foreign made though as they are not stamped USA. One review does say USA though. Will need to see the packages. Rolling the dice. Picked up the two SAE half moon wrenches too (USA). Lots of crowsfoot wrenches on sale but I don’t find a need for them often.

Not to clutter, but to follow up, all the SK wrenches I received are made in USA. Frank and I both got the 6 point offset short ones and we are both pleased.

10% off no exclusions harbor freight. This is about as good as it gets these days for tool storage (boxes and carts — they have a new 7 drawer cart but it stickers for $700).

Four piece Sunex 1/2 wobble (these are wobble plus so you can push the socket all the way on to stop the wobble) extensions for $17. 2 days left. Free shipping if you have Amazon prime. Mine just arrived and they are really nice. They have a plastic tray if you are into that. Also have 12 point 12-24mm 1/2 chrome sockets for $30 on woot and some other Sunex sets. They come with a nice aluminium rail. Just check hand tools.

4-Pc 1/2" Drive Chrome Wobble Extension Set - $16.99 - Free shipping for Prime members

Amazon.de has a couple sets of Stahlwille 20% off (the already discounted Amazon price). The 13/15 (normal length) and the 14/17 (longer with an offset).

I have that set (and gave a 10in comfort grip to Frank). If you don’t have cobras, you are missing out. However, even with shipping and ordering nothing else, you save money ordering from Amazon.de

Not a deal per se, but Knipex has released the baby pliers wrench. 86 04 100 I am going to wait until it hits Amazon.de as even with a 10% off coupon, it’s expensive at KC Tool and elsewhere. Posting because they will be gone in a day or two (happened with twin grips). The baby cobras are $25 on .de. I actually prefer the 125mm size because I like the plastic handles and the quick adjust button. I carry a 125 cobra and 125 pliers wrench on me as my daily carry.

Just picked up these Stahwille 8 piece deep offset double ended spanners for the lowest price I've seen in the year or so I've been watching them. Came to about $70 all in after tax. They make a bigger (12 piece) set that I haven't seen go on sale ever.

I have the 12 piece. I want to say it cost me $125 or so. Stahlwille prices are up across the board on Amazon.

I have that stand with a sliding miter saw and really like it. Very sturdy but easy to carry and store. I think I paid either $200 or $300 just for the stand a couple years ago.
