Hilleberg tents belong in here. As far as I know, Hilleberg is the premier tent maker and I definitely haven’t seen anything nicer in person.

I love tunnel tents because you can leave the ground sheet, inner tent, and rain fly all attached so they are super fast to set up. The one major con to tunnel tents is that they aren’t free standing, so you reallly need soft ground or a couple of heavy things to keep them up.

Please do camping deals!

I sleep in the back of my truck with a $20 Coleman sleeping bag on a pile of egg crate mattress toppers (I remove the center cubby when I am in the 90).

Huge fan of Icebreaker stuff, got some socks, shirts, etc. it’s more available in Europe so my wife even has an outer-layer crewneck sweater and stuff from them. So good.
It’s literally all I wear anymore after finding them when we lived in NZ. Wearing a tee right now! I love wearing their stuff for everything from day to day to workouts. They are just great.

How do you clean their t-shirts? Do you even clean them?

The very best whistle you can own. If you hike or sail, there better be one within reach. Ladies and Gents, the Fox 40...View attachment 17887

I'm a soccer Referee (Please covid go away) and prefer the sound of the Acme Thunderer.

Its a whistle my Dad (a Navy man) loved whenever he was out sailing. I prefer its sound over the Fox. I do own a couple of foxes as back ups including their electronic whistle.

https://www.acmewhistles.co.uk/acme-thunderer-558 Even Amazon sells them over here.

Love me a good whistle as much as a decent pair of utility pants when in the brush with the dogs. I'm a carhartt double knee fan forever but these Mountain Khakis Alpine Utility pants are the kicker with class. They also make a feild pant that holds up over time with chainsaw in hand.

Just got pro-deal access to Snow Peak, but then realized I already owned almost everything which kind of has me reflecting on my life choices. Looking at the "tool deals" thread lately, could start a "camping deals" and then immediately shift into the weird Japan-only Snow Peak grail stuff.

But do you own *everything* of theirs?

Saw that! Man, these people have me absolutely figured-out. I would totally go-in on that.

Mildly sad that the entire interior isn't an IGT table, with the bed, bathroom, and kitchen all being separate IGT components.

I don’t get it. It’s pure form over function. That plywood siding won’t last long. Nowhere to shit. No hot water. No Water at all. I don’t see any electrical plugs. No refrigerator too uh store food. I like to eat when I’m staying somewhere long enough to justify hauling a trailer. Regarding hauling, it’s even less aerodynamic than a Defender. Oh and this box will cost you 60k, before you fill it with all the gear it should have come with.

MC2301

View attachment 17671

Or if you are a plebe like me (I had a set of 2301s, but sold them after the tube budget would keep a NAS D90 on the road, any mcintosh tube amp). I still have an MC2102 which is two channel 100 watts per. I crank it into some giant magnapans and it holds. The tubes glow purple (gold lion KT88). Two MC2301 and some of the klipschorns is nirvana for me.
I love me a big fat tube amp!!!
