Secondhand swag is just as sweet. This is the Optimill upgraded washer kit with a more powerful pump. Holy cow these are some substantial parts, a really nice kit. it won’t have to work very well to outclass the original set up...

This was a good weekend, I got a nice box of random stuff from Rimmer Brothers and oh-so-sweet billet flame trap and oil filler neck from “GED’s Shed.” I honestly can’t believe they were as inexpensive as they were.

Ive been supporting RN a lot more now that they‘ve stopped using their proprietary part numbers exclusivel. Plus Zack really takes care of us with great service. But when I was overseas I got in the habit of using Rimmer who typically allows you to choose from genuine, OEM, or aftermarket. And if you’re there in person they’ll go get the parts and let you inspect the differences. I’ve appreciated their service over the years. Plus I like the cutaway cars in their showroom.

Not sure what to make of the Optimill kit, it squirted twice and died. Company doesn’t seem to want to sell me a spare part...

but I did get these nice extensible towing mirrors today:

Wow! Jim what brand are these and where did you get them from? Price?
Yep, just as mentioned above, these are from Design and Development. I want to use the 130 for some towing so I want the ability to extend the arms. There are some long arms available, but I do t want them hanging out there all the time. Now I just need to decide which mirror heads to use.

i also have the wiper boxes from D&D, they’re so much better than stock that it’s not really funny.

I just got the manifold, plenum base and water neck back from Arnold’s Design who vapor-blasted the parts to achieve this fantastic finish. Vapor blasting is supposedly a “peening” process that yields a non-porous finish that will hopefully be less susceptible to the ugly corrosion that seems to form quickly on cast aluminum parts. Time will tell but meanwhile the parts look great assembled with titanium fasteners, freshly powder-coated fuel rail/coolant tubes (matching finish was a coincidence) and the crackle-coated intake plenum. I love over-doing stuff.

Damn Jim, you fancy! Great stuff. Having seen new wheel boxes break out upon install, I can see the reasoning for the upgrade.

Classic Tube has sold stainless NAS brake and fuel lines for years, and I’ve got their parts on the 90 and the 110. It wasn’t until recently that I realized that they would do custom sets as well. So I boxed up the 130 lines and they copied them all perfectly. While they were at it, I asked them to duplicate the power steering lines for the NAS 110. Total for 10 lines was 650 including return shipping, which I think is super reasonable.

Time for more swag. Just got this fancy VNT and exhaust in from Allisport (It’s the same Turbo Technics VNT sold by several vendors). This exhaust is really gorgeous, much nicer than any stainless system I’ve seen (it’s a full system, I just have the rear section pictured). Can’t wait to get these bolted up.

This was swag back in August. Grunge is atf from when PS pump blew @ Moab. Britpart adjustable panhard rod. Needed on any defender lifted more than 3 inches. This one was new in August and was on Trey's NAS 90 clone that went on the trip out West. Has maybe 600 miles on it. Granted most all of that was off pavement, but still.

ooh, I love boxes of fresh bushings! We probably need a bushing install and feedback thread, especially to compare aftermarket poly bushings.
I eventually want to do this on my 110, do you JimC/Tbaumer have any reccos that might bridge the gap between rubber ride quality but poly durability?

UPS Dropped off a package today - 4x glass expedition windows from Explore Glazing in The Netherlands. 2x in stock "green" to match the factory glass in @JimC's 110 & two in dark tint for mine. I've also ordered OEM replacement glass for the front, second row and rear facing windows - it should have a factory tint appearance - slightly dark in the first row, privacy dark the rest of the way around.

Explore Glazing was very easy to work with via e-mail & a simple international wire transfer from my bank was all it took to get them paid. Not as easy as a credit card or PayPal, but they've delivered for sure.

I'm sure you'll soon see them being installed in #66 or #145

Colors:

Jim - parsol green, light transmission 57% (tinted 43%)
My Front row - parsol grey, light transmission 57% (tinted 43%)
Second, third & rear - privacy grey, light transmission 20% (tinted 80%)

With international shipping, they took about five days to arrive. (11/25 - 11/30)
