Tach bulb removal

I can?t seem to figure out how or where do you take the bulb out so I can replace it with an LED bulb. The back of the long tube on the tach is sealed with a white plastic end and has a wire plug on it. Anyone familiar how to remove bulb? Thanks in advance.

Here you can see the long silver tube...there is nothing removable at the end. It?s a VDO tach if that matters.

Yea I think that just friction fit, yank on the lip at the end

I don?t think so. I already pulled in it but the reason I don?t think it pulls out is because if you push it in it has a spring inside.

Every one I've ever had apart, the silver sleeve just pulls off and the bulb is held in that sleeve.

Yes it does. I?ll have to try it. I did not know I had to pull the whole tube off. I?ll give it a go when I get home and report back. Thanks.

Success! I had to pull it pretty hard and it came out. Thanks to everyone for the help Dash is all done now onto clock, volt meter, oil gauges.
